The relationship between physical activity and neuroplasticity touched on in this article is also deeply discussed in the book: Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain https://www.amazon.com/Spark-Revo

This is an optimistic invention driven growth curve hypothesis. There is an alternative pessimistic version. Where challenges like climate change, growing infertility rates, anti biotic resistant bacteria, require reactionary invention.

Same feelings here. This implies that. 1. The founders of the corporation were not aware of the established personal brand James Halliday had built under the handle, or didn't preform a google search to find out. 2. The founders were a

Agree with you. I took a night train from Venice Italy to Paris. The next day in Paris I had essentially prolonged motion sickness where I felt as if I was still on the train rocking with the rhytmn of the tracks about to fall out of the to

Strongly agree with you. Some of the most successful people I know spent a few years in 'coast mode' jobs. Where they received large salaries to maintain spreadsheets of other workers and fake work meetings. These roles offered th

There's a whole metagame of HR metrics within companies. KPI's are set to interview X amount of candidates or extend Y offers. Arbitrary hiring is a common goal after a fundraise. Not every HR team sets thoughtful efficient goals

I definitely used it as an exercise to learn lambda. I don't have an android phone for orgzly and at the time of creation, there weren't any solid iPhone org-mode apps. I use org-brain on the backend and the lambda function does s

At the time I wrote it, The SES -> lambda hooks did not give you the body content of the email and required a write to S3 first. This might still be the case.

I email myself and capture in emacs org-mode. I have an email address that is bound to AWS SES. SES listens for incoming emails and writes them to an S3 bucket. I then have a lambda hook which listens for writes to this bucket and processes

A common selling point for VIM is "its installed everywhere you just ssh in and it's available". To that, I usually bring up tramp and say, who cares you just ssh in from emacs.
