most of the python code that would benefit from goign faster is already written to use libraries written in C anyway, I doubt you would get x1000 out of them like that (I'd be happy to be proven wrong if you have examples though)

rust is fine, it's a solid mix of performance and expressiveness, it has good constructs and it's gaining traction it's hard to learn so we shall see what kind of niche it can carve for itself, but it's fine

the vehicle is 1.8T (~ 4000lbs), we don't "need more like this" it can be electric all it wants, it's still way oversized and that has a terrible environmental cost

it seems like the important changes are not really in effect in 3.13 but will kick in a bit later (JIT and all the GIL changes) aside from that, the REPL improvements will be more than welcome, the whole experience is not nice right now

everytime I see PHP and python, it reminds that the best of the three main languages in the "slow / overly dynamic" lane (Ruby) got the short end of the stick for some reason, it's terrible
