The theme is only revealed at the start of the competition. The theme is revealed and BAM! 48 hours to make a game. The theme reveal is when the clock starts ticking.

I find the theme the best part. What I really enjoy in LD's is the first 3/4 hours where the theme discusses the theme and the games gradually emerges. I can make any game I what anytime, but the theme give you focus and forces yo

Did you finish it? I think we have a great ending, but the game ended up too difficult. If you're having trouble just press 'left' during the whole game for an unintended cheat/bug.

One of the most important things I learned in college was to say "I don't know". Many students (even college students), will dance around a question trying to get a hint of the answer. I have no problems saying that I don

The author isn't the point. Maybe he thought more about the game than he put in the story. Maybe not. But in the universe of that story, the game existed! And that's what matters. In fiction, especially fantasy and science fiction

The problem is not that there is a hardcoded limit. Python just isn't suited for heavy recursion. As for tail-call optimization, here's Guido's opinion (which I agree): http://neopythonic.blogspot.pt/2009/

I agree with the python one. Some more things I find annoying in Python: - Hardcoded recursion limit + no tail call optimization. I understand Guido's reasons for this but I find myself writing ugly code instead of beatiful code. (But
