As a long time DDG user, I was looking for a reason to try Kagi out, and this nonsense is finally pushing me over the fence. Techdirt has been an upstanding place for journalism forever, and getting censored this way is ridiculous.

Feel free to use PCE or whatever else instead. There's alternatives, and trust me, one of them addresses your gripes. Unless your complaint is very specific, assume you didn't just intuitively out-think a bunch of PhDs whose job i

This is open source, feel free to make a PR or at least file an issue for these concerns. I'm happy I might not have to rely no making accounts on a bunch of invoice making apps to make bespoke invoices at some point

NetworkX represents all graph nodes as python objects and edges as python references pointing to each other. Not sure on easygraphs backend representation, but it's not hard to do >100x better in memory usage and speed than nx.

The thing is that replication is inherently easy in CS. Especially now that people are expected to post code online. Forcing authors to share raw data and code in all papers would already be a start. I don't know why top impact factor

This resonates with the current AI skeptic view that language models are a supercharged search engine on the pile of text they're trained on. Also the fact that evaluating language models is difficult, and we tend to end up with models

Your analysis on 3 is nonsense? People clearly want to buy non-SFH. Look at time on market and price growth for non-SFH units, people want them. Toronto for example largely doesn't have "middle" zoning, its either single-fami

Right, RCM assumes a symmetric matrix. Doing something like a single pass of 1d embedding algos like GGVec [1] (note: I wrote the algo, but it's effectively just the GLoVe algo for general graphs) or ProNE (if you have enough RAM) are

Depends on the model application? If you have to carry around the graph for inference, then you want it compact. If you just fold the graph into some model, then it doesnt really matter by inference time

Yes, people working on graph based ML realize quickly that the underlying data structures most originally academic libraries (networkX, PyG, etc.) use are bad. I wrote about this before [1] and based a node embedding library around the conc

Right, this is why I said it's not strategy proof. The bid is just an input you control into an opaque function where the output is some cost and conversions

My job is to write algos that optimize the bid on behalf of clients. Most pay per click ad platforms have an API that let you set the bid.

I also work in ad tech (lead the algo team in job ads). Second price auctions online are great, but they're not strategyproof. You still need a bidding strategy. For thin/small/sparse markets they simply don't work. You
