We've been waiting on it for 2 years.... When I talked with TensTorrent people they claimed it was a $1000 A100 competitor with 16gb RAM. Still waiting on it.

We don't know anything about reddit's backend architecture. It might mess up their load handling, or raise other errors.

Those designs are the result of the lack of competitive pressure coming from the fact that the Detroit automakers effectively had the US market captured.

Detroit's decline is a product of two main factors: 1. Protectionism 2. Recalcitrant unions Protectionism from the tariffs like the Chicken Tax made the US auto industry easily profitable for decades. This meant the industry didn'

That mainly depends on the number of dimensions on the model, and if the training picked up split meaning. With a high dimension vector (>50d, more usually 300d or 500d) one or two dimensions together will pick up a concept. This is why

Exactly, cities like Rotterdamn and Berlin were flattened in WWII. They're still much better to live in without a car than any American city except NYC and maybe Montreal. The excuse that postwar development is the reason for car dep

The replication crisis is much worse in fields without open publishing. Computer science/physics/etc. (arxiv), economics (NBER) and other fields with freely available papers tend to have much better replication numbers than fields

My point was, specifically, that this data doesnt have to fit in RAM. All of it fits on a single machine on one or a few big, fast SSDs.

not particularly? 1B vectors * 300dimensions * float32 (4 Bytes) ~= 1.2TB This pretty much still runs on consumer hardware. Just run that on a 4TB nvme ssd, or a RAID array of ssd's if you're frisky.

I worked on some of those pull requests in 2021. One of the main issue is that the core Yuzu devs don't have this hardware to motivate them. One of the core ones that started the work went back to working on Citra as well, I think. At

You can even do it in a linear regression. Just add enough polynomial terms (x^a) and interaction terms (x1 * x2). The end model looks something like: y = b + x1 + x1^2 + x1^3 + ... + x1 * x2 + (x1 * x2)^2 + ... + x2 + x2^2 + ... By that po
