I'd rather just use TAI and never have to worry about anything. Let the conversion to UTC be the client's problem. Having the length of a second always be the same is kind of important.

I'm one of those kids. I'm about 30 years old now and my diet is pretty much shit. It's actually kind of funny/embarrassing when my shopping cart has bags of pizza rolls and hot pockets. I take full responsibility, but I

That would be odd if true. I've personally created a BSP and did board bring-up on a platform based on the NXP LS1046A (one of their ARM based QorIQ SoCs). That chip uses DDR4 and didn't require any blobs (aside from the Ethernet

I’ve been hosting my own homeserver for a few years on my own personal computer with a residential internet connection. It’s technically a violation of Verizon’s TOS but they don’t seem to care, probably since the traffic isn’t crazy. I hav

Does anyone know if the chip can be purchased from distributors like Mouser or Digikey? If not, will it be eventually? This is the first thing I look at before deciding to invest in learning a new chip. I specifically look for something tha

Not necessarily. The amplifiers sometimes are though. In a normal 2 or 3 way speaker cabinet, you'll have an analog crossover which consists of something like a capacitor in series with the tweeter (high pass filter), and an inductor i

In many cases, these all can use the same pins anyway. Like on some NXP SoCs I've worked with, you just had a bunch of SerDes lanes that could be assigned to any number of functionalities (SATA, SGMII, PCIe, etc.).
