It's true that police are asked to be solutions for social problems for which they are unsuited. However, the reason this interview is topical has to do with someone paying for cigarettes with a possibly counterfeit bill and refusing t

FWIW, George Floyd was indeed driving a Mercedes, which is generally considered to be a nice car.

Yes, but recall we are talking about my expectation that he will prefer cashing in to trying to be President for life (which in my estimation would be thwarted by every other part of government anyway). He may well be doing such things now,

1) Reading Matt Levine's "Money Stuff" has made me expect that the SEC is pretty good at detecting such things. 2) Also, that seems like something which would make more money for someone else, which does not fit with my model

Cashing in entails: -Large book deal, with title "Winning: How I Made America Great Again Despite All The Dummy Losers In Washington" -Some sort of talk show or network -But mostly, going back to licensing the use of his name all

I didn't notice before: in the man-child video, someone has already spray-painted "Free Shit For Everyone Zone" on the red back door of the Autozone.

I can't speak to that. Certainly for an app which spends a significant amount of time in UI-land it's better to stay on the anointed path if possible.

I am doing it right now, for a computer vision app. CMake is kind of a pain, but the rest of it works fine. My one other work-related Android app also used C++, for computer vision-related stuff, 8 years ago. Android Studio/Kotlin/

That's where org-mode (or some similar outlining or mind-mapping) comes in. It reduces your search from N to logN. In general I find that logN is faster than solving the problem from first principles again (N!).

Also, between two years in and death, it's still very common to fail into the trough of despair when working on a creative project. Brian Eno has had a pretty good creative run, but he didn't make that Oblique Strategies card deck

Yes, LA county has the majority of cases in California. They're down from a peak of 1482 new cases a week ago, but still have hundreds of new cases a day. I'm just talking about SF, where things seem to be under control.
