I keep a series of basic setup scripts for Ubuntu on my github[0]. I do wget and pipe them to bash, which I'm not tremendously proud of... [0]: https://github.com/cjjeakle/devbox-setup

Panamax ships are the absolute maximum size of ship the Panama Canal can handle (eg: PANAma canal MAXimum). [0] Edit: Obviously, the canal is now larger. So Panamax in this case refers to ships that maxed out the old maximum size. [0]: htt

If you're interested, here's a simple bookmarklet I made. It opens the title link at the top of an HN comments page via archive.org: javascript:window.open(' https://web.archive.org/web/' + document.

Another thing I thought of was using the <table> tag for layout. It's austere, as well as an anti-pattern when used exclusively. Despite this, it just plain gets the job done. It has also proven quite sturdy/reliable, even o

Cool idea! Any plans to share your experience creating the app or to show off the code itself? Anything worth working on for 6 months is likely interesting to learn more about. Plus, it's always nice to find out how others tackle ambit

Most homes built before 1960 contain heavily leaded paint[0]. My assertion isn't that lead wasn't believed to be dangerous, rather that no one saw it as "seriously" dangerous. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w

Not only that, up to the late 20th century many products other than pipes contained lead. Lead paint, leaded gasoline, etc. The jury was out on lead in everyday use until quite recently. I doubt the poisonous nature of lead was well known w

Although true, there really is no substitute for money (cash or a deposit account) in terms of liquidity and fungibility. You need at least some liquid capital, and those with the least money will always be 100% liquid (or very close to it)
