I don't think most companies would take much notice of functional programming experience. So it cannot be resume driven. If you resume driven, you go with react, or containers or something.

Fighting over a ticket isn't an agile issue. In fact this the opposite of agile. The developer at standup/meeting/story kickoff should of explained the situation and asked to work on the ticket himself or pair on it. Problem

Your starting to build your own validation library inside that validation context. Inside I presume it must be creating some kind of error object to a list. Next problem, rename a field on the object using a refactoring tool. You now have t

The problem is when you want validation errors which contains the field name, and a descriptive error message. Oh you want them localised as well? You then want each field to be validated individually. So you get an error for each field whi

I find doing things like having types that flow through different stages -> UnvalidatedEmail, ValidatedEmail, VerifiedEmail is a lot better in f#. In c# you need to create a lot of value object classes for that. Or have some kind of prop

I don't think any static type advocate would say that no dynamic checks should be done. Not all can be. You need a mix. Most dynamic types then go on to say why bother at all with static. That's where we disagree. It's dynami

You certainly can drive activities from events in event sourcing applications. Having built many like this. You don't have to, but you can. Just make sure services that perform actions based on events, and the services that rebuild cur

Most modern code bases I've seen only use interfaces now. Only in the odd exception do they use inheritance.

I think we're just figuring out different problems are solved using different paradigms. I find complex business logic tends to be best modelled using algebraic data types and functional programming.
