Exhaust back pressure is not an issue at all on diesels because they all run big turbos. As for your later point...I very much concur. I started masking (n95) during the pandemic, and haven't stopped. I have a... large number of health

More than once I've used the xkcd method (Pull a gut number out of thin air, then double the numerator and increment the unit e.g. 1 hour -> 2 days, 3 weeks -> 6 months). When dealing with certain customers this has proven disapp

This is true in many things. Most car mods make the car objectively worse unless you really need the niche thing the mod does - and even if you think you do, be really sure.

I sometimes wonder how they’d do if trained on relatively rigid, language like Japanese that has far fewer ambiguities than English.

I’ll have to give it a look. I’m an increasingly disenchanted IntelliJ customer also.

I solve that the blunt force way. Heavy duty over the ear hearing protection, like shooters eeesr at a gym range. I find it works better than noise canceling. If things are really intolerably bad you can double up with foam earplugs under.

We’re in. Situation wheee one of the candidates routinely criticizes us and praises our enemies, and still pulls at about 42%. Rationality is not in evidence.

All signs point to this being an extraordinarily tight election. 5 or 10k votes in the right state could swing the whole thing.

Segway was introduced in 2001 and went on sale in 2002. By 2010 it was very much on a downslope.

Incorrect. Snakes have very minimal hearing. A bit in the lower frequencies, but we’re mostly talking about vibrations picked up from the ground… they don’t have external ear canals.

Gas stations are independent. The energy is already on site. In a real pinch it can be pumped with manu labor. None of that is true in the EV case.

Why would you expect that? 3D renderers are not generally deterministic. Many will incorporate, for instance, noise algorithms. They will frequently not produce byte-identical renders on the same hardware using the same binary.

They aren't an investment, period. You generally can't sell them. The complex can assess whatever maintainance fee they wish with little to no requirements for justification.

Why should ordinary users do something that provides no meaningful benefit and makes their experience substantially worse?

That's what I found too (minus the nose part). It's low pressures that feel suffocating (because there isn't sufficient airflow). High pressure feels great... as a life long asthmatic it's the best I ever breathe.

There's a funny workaround where mask parts don't require a subscription. The ones I've seen on Amazon are usually selling parts, perhaps a kit of parts, and not a complete mask.

Boeing stock is worth 4x what it was 15 years ago. It had gone up almost 10x from 2010 to 2020, then they got hammered by the obvious.

You don't. Use generator syntax, which is really the more pythonic way to it. >>> iter = [1,2,3,4] >>> f1 = lambda x: x*2 >>> f2 = lambda x: x+4 >>> f3 = lambda x: x*1.25 >&g

Heck, even coming from Python (2) it felt very underwhelming and hugely oversold. (Edit: To be fair, I'd done a bit of Ocaml years earlier so algebraic data types weren't some huge revelation). Laziness is mostly an anti-pattern.

Being on the shortage list is what allows compounders to sell it. Once that is no longer true, that option goes away.
