I agree completely about not looking at distance. But, for me, heart rate is super important. It's actually the reason I've been looking into AR glasses for cycling and swimming. I normally have heart rate, power, and speed showin

I tried, I promise! I couldn't get anything. It really is a very small area of the lens where they show the HUD text.

I tried very hard to get photos of the projector and LED display and simply could not. It’s all so tiny that it fits in the nose piece of the glasses. But, basically there is an LED screen that brightly “projects” the display onto a mirror.

I had not considered that. I don’t imagine you’d be able to wear glasses while wearing them, no. But unless you need glasses to ride a bike you won’t need them. Even if you are near sighted you can see the AR display.

Oh, wow. If it does it’s SUPER subtle. I started a ride in full sunlight and then went in full tree cover forest on gravel. I never noticed the lenses change, only the brightness of the LED. It was visible the whole time though, which was i

I’m partial to the Wahoo since they’re in Atlanta and I’ve got to root for the home team. My biggest gripe with the Karoo is that since it’s running a full Android OS the UI should be gorgeous and it’s just... not. They didn’t even modify t

The battery is claimed to be 10 hours, but I didn't test it to that limit. The lenses were really good quality - at least as good as my Tifosi's. Very comfy and stayed in place, which is crucial for AR. They don't actually sw

Your friend factory reset the phone and put their own password on it? To be fair to Google, they should refuse - if they agreed to wipe someone else's account that would be a HUGE breach of protocol based just on your word. What would

The companies I've seen adjusting salaries are adjusting for "market rate" of salaries, not CoL. This can result in moving to an area with a higher cost of living and a lower salary.

And you don't have to buy the "expensive" phone. Their phones last nearly 10 years so you can buy used or get a new SE for $400.

That's actually what this announcement says. If the box is still in use (50+ calls made in the last year) then it's kept. If it's in an area with low mobile coverage it'll be converted to a free wi-fi hotspot. Otherwise

It’s very good. I’ve only had them since the first week of August so I can’t speak to their longevity. But they’re comfortable (I do up to 90 minutes), stay on in turns, don’t leak or fog. They project the HUD display onto this little scree

I use Form goggles. They are aimed at competitive swimmers, but all I care about is heart rate. I had previously used an Apple Watch but stopping at the end of a lap (or after the swim) and looking at your watch kinda defeats the purpose. W

This is very accurate. I participate in ultra endurance cycling. (1200km is my record!) Most of the athletes are older, some participating into their 80s. It's a very time intensive sport so it's very hard to do with a young famil

There are many offshore devs make $30k. There are also many offshore devs making $100k. It's not valley money, but it's good money.

It's nice for Google to announce the new version, but it's up to the carrier to decide if I can have it, I guess. And when.

Gliding (non motor powered aviation) is HUGE in Europe. And Cheese?! I'm not even in to cheese but my Instagram gets cheese posts because I follow some UK stuff. I don't know what this guy is on about.

My mother just recently updated from the 5s, simply because she dropped it. She used it daily for phone calls, texts, and looking at photos of grandkids. She switched to the iPhone 6.

Leaving updates up to carriers makes it super hard to test mobile apps. You get a bug where it only happens on Samsung Whatever on Android 11, but the phone you bought for QA hasn't yet gotten that update. So you test on an emulators w

I heard a rumor that the 13 Mini is already going to be the last Mini. I have no need to upgrade, the 12 Mini is perfect. But I'm going to buy the 13 Mini just so that I have one more year before I have to give up that form factor.

I work for a large tech company. I'm paying about $16k a year after monthly premiums and annual deductibles for a family of 3. (All but $6500 of that is pre-tax). It's not at all uncommon for companies, even small ones, to pay 100
