I see what you are driving at and I agree, the laws do get abused. I think though, you may be slightly misunderstanding my point: Wearing a seatbelt doesn't significantly reduce your freedom in any real way. It's not hard to comp

It's all about reasonable safety balanced with freedom. Wearing a seatbelt keeps people a lot safer and has a really low cost in terms of impinging on freedom. There's no equivalent on a motorcycle that checks both those boxes oth

As technology moves forward, more and more tools are at our disposal. The trick then, is choosing the right tool for to communicate the look and feel you want, in support of the story and world you are creating. I feel like the author is so

The pain points you listed there are a lot different. Passwords are a huge pain. I don't mind having multiple cards in my wallet or keys on my keyring. What everybody misses with the whole "Too many cards in our wallets"

My theory with accessory tech (Stuff you wear or use in public) is that adoption is far more driven by whether or not it works within the existing social framework and rules of interaction we all tend to abide by in public. Things like go

The problem with GMO's is that most people aren't equipped to have a nuanced discussion about them so the conversation devolves to massive generalities and extremes that aren't useful because both polar extremes turn out to b

I think it's much much simpler than that. Physical exercise is a super broad term and some of those activities really are boring and repetitive. Most of the low hanging fruit that we all think of as exercise is super boring. I've

That's probably not the most reliable test to be honest. Really, the crux of it is this: When you need to concentrate on something that you aren't interested in, are you able to?

One thing I've realized is that there are multiple things that can help concentration for me: When the project is new and shiny, when the deadline is close at hand, caffein. If you can recognize similar patterns, then there's a nu

I'm not sure what your health care system is set up like, but if you can go to a different doctor, or a specialist, it would be worth doing. Even here in the US, some doctors are much more receptive than others.

I'd be really curious to see stats on how often/if the type of avionics that software like this rely on fails in the real world. I don't have any concept of the reliability. I think we could get the software working reliably,
