It ends up being the most fault-tolerant way of navigating to a site. In the address bar, a typo will either not resolve (which takes several seconds) or it will resolve to a site designed to funnel traffic from the misspelling. Also, you g

Polygraph tests do work, but as a social engineering technique and nothing more. Test takers are manipulated into behaving in certain ways based on the belief that the machine functions as they are told. The key is in the way the administ

Broadly speaking we've slowly gotten closer to the monopoly status again which is why we are seeing this now. http://eon3emfblog.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/ATT-Reborn...

e-fraud is about minimal investment and casting a wide net. Even a few dollars of cost to file means there is lower hanging fruit out there.

It really depends. Consider that fact that in many fields, you pay for 4 years or more of schooling in order to get the paper that gets you in the door. If an internship can do an end run around that then you come out well ahead.

A lot of my grand dad's implements were from the 50's - 70's. I never knew him to take any of them anywhere to be fixed. He could to it all with a relatively small collection of tools. Heck, when a tread linkage broke on his

I think it's human nature to more vigorously defend your viewpoint if A: You feel would be strongly effected if it turned out to be false and B: You are somewhat unsure of the validity of your claim. To me, this explains at least parti

I tend to think that remarketing actually hurts many times. I hate visiting a site to consider a product, only to then be followed around the web by banners for that project for days after. It makes me hate the product.

Proper armor of the period was not like what we see in films, it wasn't nearly so clumsy. It's a bit silly, but check this short clip out it will open your eyes a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xm11yAXeegg

It's really encouraging to hear I am not the only one who thinks so. It's kind of my dream to build a game with that sort of depth someday. For now, I'm trying to solve subsets of the problem in a more limited scope by creati

When you look at TED in context it's a lot harder to poke fun at it. It's a vast improvement on most pop infotainment out there, if only because you usually get to hear a brief survey of a subject right from the source. Most TED t

Thermal expansion is also a well known property and something that is dealt with in buildings and structures all the time. It would be a challenge, I agree, but I don't think it will be an intractable one.

I would argue that Google does a lot of things poorly, which turn out to not be a big deal in the sector they are in but would certainly be a problem in aerospace. This isn't a knock on Google, the requirements are just different.
