Just FYI, it's been called "macOS" for the last eight years. The last OS X was El Capitan.

Surprisingly I’m not that anxious yet. Electricity, gas and food prices are going up and I know even worse times are coming, but as a developer I make almost three times the median income. If I get into trouble financially or if I can’t fin

Sorry, but what does X-plane on iOS have to do with browser Doom? Also some of the planes in mobile Xp are terribly simplified (A320), the controls suck and the clouds render in pink on iPad Mini 6.

So, what does the scene look like today for realistic space flight sims (i.e. not KSP or Simple Rockets 2)? I remember Orbiter being the jam ten years ago, but I don't think it's even being developed anymore. Does FlightGear have

Unsurprisingly, "krk" is also a Czech word, meaning "neck". We do like our vowel-less words.

The thing about "short term screwed" is that in some countries the "screwed" is actually "people having to pay more than 100 % of their income for electricity". Theoretically, long term, this could all work out

I've noticed people saying this over on MacRumors, but my experience is exactly the opposite. I have a single finger set up as a single fingerprint, on a M1 Air, and it's been 100 % since I got the machine 20 months ago. Like lite

Nice, I first parsed that as Welsh or something, before realizing it was Czech. The word "prv" is archaic and could confuse some younger speakers, but the sentence works even without the word as "Chrt zhlt hrst zrn" and

I'm gonna strike right back with the Czech, perfectly valid, words "vchrstls" and "smrskls" (roughly "you have splashed/thrown/hurled" and "you have shrunk", respectively).

Was this the case where the screen cracks on its own? You seem to [edit, reworded] be much more angry about it than I'd be if I'd damaged the computer myself.

Unless you're doing aerobatics, an Xbox/PS controller is very much useable if you tweak your input curves just right (VERY non-linear) with maybe some smoothing.

Is it, really? I mean, it's Turing-complete, nice to use, quite fast... I don't see a reason not to reach for Swift if I want to do some reasonably generic data crunching (instead of say, Java, C++, Crystal or similar languages).

I'm not sure whether this is an argument for or against Asahi. The "50 other people in the world" statement is hardly true for a machine offered with a single SoC and zero customization options except RAM size and SSD.

There are very few thin and light laptops that can reach thermal equilibrium with their CPUs boosting and under 100 % load. The M2 Air is no different from the M1 Air or any other competitor, it even throttles LESS than the M1 Air. This who
