I think few people think that C is "inherently good". Many of us still like C because it is inherently simple . That doesn't mean that it's good. It just means that we value simple and will take some (a lot!) of bad to

I think this is a little disingenuous. 99% of the D ecosystem uses the GC. You probably can't use most of it if you put @nogc on main. 99% of the D ecosystem of docs and articles assumes using the GC. You're going to struggle lear

There's some good advice here but this one is 100% wrong: > natural vs. synthetic hair doesn't matter

It feels to me like humans need darkness more than other animals to sleep. I'm curious if this another excuse rather than a real issue.

This doesn't seem right at all, a critic's job is to drive page views and nothing more. What you are describing is how critic's like to perceive themselves.

I would have made this be /about or something like that and had the landing page be something more traditional. I don't think repeat visitors are going to want to scroll through a presentation like that all of the time. But that c

I've ran into a similar problem but not a quota error, sometimes large Blobs simply fail to save for no reason in Chrome. It's only certain blobs and not others. Never tracked down why, but it rendered idb unusable for me in that

You're concentrating on the time period when IE was the only game in town and ignoring the 10 or so years post Firefox/Chrome (until basically they switched to Chromium) when it was behind the times and was a tremendous drain on w

I'm an artist that doesn't like photorealism. I can appreciate the skill without wanting to spend much time looking at it. The imperfections and accidents are what make art pieces interesting to me.

I've never understood the appeal of photorealistic art anyways, so I'll be happy to be labeled a snob that likes art that looks like art.

Typical security engineer opinion. This "feature" is costing the industry tens, perhaps hundreds of million of dollars in wasted salary hours but it's worth it to you in the off-chance .1% are even potentially affected. Becau

Was Fidel being offered sanctions to end by releasing a specific hostage? Or was he being asked to relinquish power?

No use of airspace and no trade with NATO countries until the prisoners are released. It would take a week.

Sanctions are almost always too weak. Any sanction that the government can withstand is too weak and will have the affect you describe. A strong sanction that says "release the prisoner immediately" will be short and not affect ci

I think it comes down to viewing habits. If you like to browse and watch anything interesting then recommendations are probably good enough and you'll like YouTube. But if you're looking for something specific (which I tend to do)

I searched for lawn care videos 2 years ago and still get suggestions in my feed. The videos might be great, but it's not a subject I want to watch. This is pretty common from what I see.

How do you find this stuff? YouTube is so full of absolute garbage that's it's a struggle to find something worth watching. I watch painting videos on YouTube but spend way too much time digging.

Ok, sure. If Go wasm is only useful for games... and I'm pretty sure game developers are picking C++ or Rust, then that's a severe limitation.
