No, for some reason I decided to use a regular duvet. With a sleeping bag it would probably have been less of an issue.

I agree - I packed an air mattress to sleep on during camping when it was cold on the ground. The air didn't insulate as well as I expected so I was freezing from below. There are so many things around us that are such incredible achie

This is an interesting idea, would be great to see this tried with graphs. Why don’t they do this with the ice blocks you get for keeping food cold on camping trips?

I think the lockdown is a large reason why it looks like this. There are simply less things to spend money on at home, and all the free time at home means people are looking over their economy. And speculating/investing.

Did you see the pdf manual? I would actually have preferred something online for docs, but there is not a lack of documentation for Tracy.

On application side I recommend using an instrumenting profiler that will let you know down to sub-microseconds what the code is doing. Tracy is a good choice ( https://github.com/wolfpld/tracy ) but there are others, e.

We have a cuckoo rice cooker in Sweden (purchased in Korea). It is great! Our cuckoo is a preassure cooker, and the rice it makes is the best I’ve had. We currently live in Tokyo, and the Panasonic we got here is not as good as the cuckoo.

It's about the 'why'. The thing that Mars has to offer that Antarctica does not is "backup solution for humankind". An asteroid impact can make earth uninhabitable. With a self sustaining backup on Mars we can keep

As other commenters I'm reminded of the classic RIM roadrunner effect - the decapitated chicken that keeps running. Another thought though: is it completely unthinkable for Intel to pull an AMD themselves and spin out their fabs and re

Yeah, I was also disappointed in this story. Shallow and bad explanation and after reading it I am still none the wiser as to in what way those textbooks would be in need of rewriting.

Nice build :) Have you checked out EasyEDA + jlcpcb? It can improve the electronics aspects of robot projects. I searched a bit now to see if any new projects have shown up. Came across this one: https://hackaday.io/project&

No. For these motors to do their job at these low speeds you need to know where the windings are relative to the magnets so you can apply a controlled force instantaneously. Btw, this is true for gimbals too, and good gimbals use sensors.

It's not that rc-servos are not sexy. It't that they suck. For a number of specific reasons well listed in other posts here. RC-servos are very cheap and very easy to use, so there are many projects using them. But there is no way

Sure. I should have written "rc-servo". But in this context it was not ambiguous and the point stands - anything that uses rc-servos is a dead end. Personally I'm also skeptical of series elastic actuators - it seems like a h
