C# also has exactly the same concept. "class"-types are put on the heap and get assigned by reference, while "struct"-types are assigned by copy. It always seemed weird to me. You need to know which data type you are wor

New language means throwing out the ecosystem, which is one of pythons biggest strength. There are and have been multiple attempts on compiling python, most recent promising shot is Mojo aiming for library compatibility.

Hopefully your email also requires 2FA :) Even without, accidentally getting one password leaked is a lot more likely than two. For whatever reason, shoulder peeking, keylogger, wrong input field, brute forced, and so on.

Jeez chill... it’s just back to where it was 4 months ago and even after the drop it is still up 100% compared to this time last year! And it’s all fake inflated money. This unprecedented growth simply couldn’t continue forever.

Agree. While the solution is impressive, the choice of using the type system severely hampers the ways the code can be deployed. Instead of taking dynamic input, the DATA array must now be encoded up-front in an unexpected number-base and r

This is just a variation of a trick that is as old as the internet. Most old attacks were using timing instead of double-clicking, usually by tricking the user to click on a bouncing monkey to win a price, instead hitting what was behind. T

Every other language does that by default with "var", "let", or in some languages nothing at all. Within functions it doesn't matter that much and using an IDE takes care of quick lookups anyway.

The test is a very strange example indeed. Is it testing the backend, the database or both? If the api was guaranteeing ordered values, pre-uuid7 the backend must have sorted them by other means before returning, making the test identical.
