There's a practical concern there which is really relevant with little ones running around: glass breaks easily. A plastic bottle or cup or whatever vessel can fall from a shelf or counter to the floor and be unharmed and not harm any

I'm a professional engraver. How much time you got? lol There's about 200-300 "standard" symbols for music notation, but that can balloon to upwards of 2,000 when factoring in all the nooks and crannies of the artform. T

Don't let the machines put you off. They can be very comfortable, and like all things, you get used to having a mask on at night after some adjustment time. There's also settings to adjust the ramp pressure so you can fall asleep

MusicXML only works with conventional western notation, but MNX is attempting to expand that significantly. How far they will get with that, I don't know.

I work for Sibelius so I'm heavily involved in this world. MusicXML is a great standard and offered a solid basis for data interchange between music notation programs. But now there's a new group working to build a successor stand
