I'd love to hear from someone who could outline the distinction between the two. I could certainly believe that it means the difference between the amount of attendees, length of presentation, venue, etc etc. In those cases, it's

Well said. I'm currently in a "big tech" public company where I had today: - 2 standups (One Slack-based, one Zoom) - A sprint grooming session - A project retrospective - A product planning meeting - A documentation review m

Agree - I don't know why this isn't the default, or why "all photos" needs to exist in the first place. The only valid use case I can think of is for selecting an image from a gallery in-app.

These companies are solely built around the concept of trust. Your average person just doesn't care that Google is tracking them, and will therefore not take the obvious productivity hit by using a service with lower quality results (a

Ha - I was thinking the exact opposite. I'd have figured that tools that require an understanding of an entire project (imports/exports/types/etc) would need be VERY memory intensive, and something that would actually be

I'm curious if there are internal tools to generate and differentiate these different variants/flavors of documents. Would be even cooler if attachments were automatically watermarked/logged when sending an email/DM/

Which of my wallets is draining as watch YouTube/TikTok/Twitch or read HN/Reddit? I have guesses on what you could mean (data, attention, etc), but some clarification would be nice. 1. There's no question that ownership

Although there is some good stuff in here, Flutter's priorities continue to disappoint me. The fact I'd need to rely on code generation in 2023 for the ability to serialize & deserialize classes puts it far behind the typical

Yeah that price point makes it an instant pass - In all honesty, phones, at least for me, have been reaching a point of diminishing returns. I upgraded from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14 recently, and the difference was practically nothing.

I'd argue bookmarks achieve much of the same result, but I see your point. Cross-platform, as much as I'd like it to work, just doesn't seem to ever feel native. I'd very much like to see a transpilation-based cross-plat

But why do these protocols need built-in economics? No user is going to want to have a wallet that slowly drains as they use the web -- it's just not convenient and will be thoroughly rejected by the mainstream. Compare this to somethi

It's a faux pas to flex your own massive amounts of power in places where it doesn't really matter all that much. Then again, Google has pretty much embraced their role as a comic book villain these days.

Wow. I didn't know Apple let apps have that level of restriction on other installed apps. Perhaps I'm behind on my iOS APIs. I'd be eager to learn more on what kind of parental-control/screen-time magic goes into this. T

It's funny how the 30% tax and App Store nonsense automatically makes me want Apple to lose every single court case in perpetuity. Having such a monopoly on a device you purchase really means the legal system needs to take you down a n

Definitely totally 100% unrelated, but do people notice that their security teams often focus on minuscule unlikely scenarios instead of potentially-company-ending bugs and exploits? Things like your MacOS install being on 12.3.1 instead of
