Same. IntelliJ is just too damn good for JVM work, and specially for Kotlin. jdtls ans other Java langservers are decent, but unfortunately, kotlin_language_server is miles behind IntelliJ.

There's someone working on this interesting project.[1] It's a Lemmy<->Reddit proxy that translates requests between the two APIs so you can use Reddit apps to browse Lemmy. If it gets some traction, it will be a great tool

I also quite enjoy the mpv/yt-dl(p) setup, and I often pair it with ytfzf[1] to ease the search part. FreeTube[2] is also a nicely done desktop frontend, capable of proxying requests through invidious. [1]: https://github.co

I was quite sure you meant to say prefixing i. (which no longer works) but tried going to reddit.com/.i anyways and it actually works! I hope it stays operational, but surely they will also nuke it eventually :/

Couldn't get it to work on my Pixel 4a, kept asking to use a tablet or a phone... .-.

Telescope[1] on NeoVim can provide such interface. It is not standard, but telescope is becoming really widespread. [1]: https://github.com/nvim-telescope/telescope.nvim

If vim is working well for you, I'd say not to chase neovim, unless you feel like trying something new. Moving to nvim is pretty straightforward, but more and more stuff is expected, in a way, to be configured through Lua. That's

This sounds pretty cool! I tried enabling it in Fennec (F-Droid "debloated" version with about:config available) and couldn't get it to work. It still downloads PDFs and prompts the system app picker for the viewer. Did you

I don't host my own email server, though I'd like to give it a go one day, even if just as a little sysadmin "adventure". At the moment, I use the really good Migadu Micro plan.[1] It has very nice limits for the $19

Same situation and reasons here. Migadu has been perfect for my needs. The basic plan at $20/m is more than enough and it's basically dirt cheap. If you're a student you can even get it for half the price. I really like their

I agree with the sentiment that Discord is overall much nicer for Discord communities :p No, but really, Matrix isn't quite there yet in terms of those nice and easy community management features, but what you listed isn't quite

Height does make phones less comfortable to handle with a single hand, which is what I prefer to do most of the time. They are heavier, lean further back so you have to spread your fingers on the back more, and reaching the top to pull the

Yeah, I too quite like the approach, but at the moment the components are too dissociated with each other, so something like what you suggested would come along way to making the platform more welcoming and useful.

Yeah, the disconnect between sourcehut components isn't great, but AFAIK they are working on hub.sr.ht or smth like that, and also better integration between all of those services, precisely to fix that issue. I'm eager to see tha

Not really. In a priority queue, an item with higher priority gets pulled out before one with lower priority, so you can have items that skip parts of the queue (or all of it) even if there are no items of the same priority in there already

Yeah, that would be nice, like how Matrix has EMS and such. Mastodon already has plenty of services like that, such as Masto.Host, but none are "official".

Lemmy is great! Despite the network still being fairly small, everything work really well already. Setting up instance was a breeze. The devs are also very accessible which is nice.

You could try setup just a git.sr.ht instance, I suppose. Dunno if it is what you're looking for, but it might be worth checking out.

It is doing its job. The media query for your theme is a point of data for fingerprinting, so disabling it is a good thing. However, it would be nice to have a way to select which measures should be applied, so you can costumise it to your
