Yeah, that's true. I can see their reasoning, but I'd hope they wouldn't be so cold.

Yeah that is my pain point with Kotlin. I really like it, but the (pretty inexistent) non-JetBrains tooling is a deal breaker for me.

You should give ActivityPub[1] a look. There are plenty of platforms based on this already. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ActivityPub

Hydrogen[1] allows you to have multiple opened conversations, but it isn't super flexible. NeoChat has nice feature for this too, as someone else mentioned. [1]: https://hydrogen.element.io

Have you given WikiVoyage a shot? It has been quite helpful in some occasions. See [1] for Vegas, for example. [1]: https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Las_Vegas

This. Kotlin is a great language with a lot of potential, but JB keeps locking it away in their own ecosystem. I used to do stuff with it before but this attitude has driven me away.

I'll add a thumbs up for Migadu! Great service, great principles, I'm a happy customer. It's also pretty cheap (specially if you're a student). https://migadu.com

Cool to see more AP projects! I assume you're aware of Lemmy; maybe you could acknowledge it on the README/wiki and explain in what way the platforms differ. From what I understand, Lemmy is more reddit-like while littr is mor

Have you seen Cinny?[1] It's a very Discord-like client that I'd honestly the best I've used thus far. I instantly switched to it as mt daily driver on the computer and even made a donation to help out the maintainers. The th

+1 for sourcehut. The people there have been making great, lightweight software for a lot of stuff. Despite looking simple they are often really powerful.

Yeah they have changed some other Wikis too (like Portuguese). I think this is up to each wiki's governance (afaik they are somewhat independent) to opt-in on the new design. I'm not sure I like it. The better line width is really

Give Cinny[1] a go. It's a new client built to be familiar to Discord users. I've switched to it as a daily driver, even tho it doesn't implement 100% the protocol. It has all the main features in a nice UI which is more than
