This looks awesome. Great to see a project like this in a space dominated by commercial offerings. I sincerely hope thus grows and thrives as it's desperately needed in this world of persistent attacks against our infrastructure.

How sensitive is the systems to airborne sodium chloride if located near salty bodies of water? I would assume that colocation with nuclear power would be ideal and many nuclear plants are next to salty bodies of water. Being an energy aud

These days, Xamarin looks interesting. Can target windows, Linux, Mac, Android and IOS. I have not used it yet but if I get a project that needs full Cross platform distribution, I would probably use xamarin with a F# code base where possib

They actually grow in the dark by processing starches in roots. They candle are just used for viewing or picking. Fascinating process. I can't wait to try some of these one day.

This marketing blunder does not touch the best of all time: Harvey's (a Canadian fast food chain) had a bold advertisement stating they only use "100% real processed cheese". But, at least Harvey's was not lying ;)

However, they did actively choose to not put in redundancy and the status systems in the cockpits which should have been done out of the box following any common sense and failure mode analysis procedures. This decision itself is enough to

Great idea but what if you want to use a separate VPN service which is disabled by this app? Does this VPN just cover DNS or does it secure all traffic? When on public wifi, I want to have PIA VPN enabled. Does this secure all DNS traffic l

That hardware solution sans wifi could offer some interesting security solutions such as trusted bridge between any computer and your mobile phone. Can't wait to see this torn down and hacked.

I just finished tuning up a White sewing machine and it blew me away how well built the thing was. Very well used but still works like a charm. 99.9% metal and made in Japan.

How is this? According to the International System of Units, a minute is 60 seconds.

Thanks for that clarification. After this, I was able to find the International System of Units Wikipedia page which clearly defines a second as per your summary. It's a relief to see that it's a constant formula like that of the

Excellent question. I assumed that one mars minute differs from an earth minute but I just learned that they don't. Seconds, minutes and hours are universal. Hours in a day is what varies by planets, moons etc. Funny that I never thou

Took a look. Interesting project. The abstraction model available to declaring relationships/vertices was hard to grasp at first glance but as I thought about it further, I can see some interesting benefits for pattern matching grammar

[update] Dassault Systemes purchased Matrix One about 10 years ago. They still use their Graph based DB kernel in many of their products. From my understanding, this DB kernel was written in the early 90's and targeted PDM (Product Dat

It's not commercially available unfortunately when I last checked. You have to buy business software and licences to get access to the DB kernel and api's. The main product is called Enovia, formerly called eMatrix by matrix one.

IMHO, a party that owns or invents a patent that it does not use and never intends to use in any real products and they only litigate with said patent makes it a true patent troll.

Saw the same. The thing I like about Qubes OS is that they are trying to move to an OS / hypervisor agnostic model. I personally would love to see Qubes on freenas driving Jails.
