The last paragraph there about AMD seems completely baseless and overstated. NVIDIA does have much higher market share and brand recognition from both ML and gamers for now, but AMD has been firing on all cylinders for quite a few years, an

Tokens on top of Ethereum generally are not mined at all. Ethereum provides the consensus layer for them.

This idea that AMD GPUs don’t work is absolutely ludicrous, and you’ve said it at least twice now. Go ahead and back up your claim, if you don’t mind.

Extremely private monetary transactions may be a net negative, and yet it may be the world we must adapt to, if the ability to do so now exists. There is always room for “good honest police work”, though. There are many roadblocks governmen

I largely agree - to this comment, not your parent post - but the technology is here. Governments couldn’t accept citizens with easy access to strong encryption either, but they have had to make do ever since. Not all of the code can be sa

So, you would have the government step in and deny the right of an individual to earn what they may need at that moment, in their specific circumstance, to form a contract with another person - a business owner? The bureaucracy knows better

It’s easily possible to argue that the concept or structure of unions, and their relationships to business, as generally implemented, tends towards those corruptions.

Don’t worry, it’s worse. They collect everything, illegally and without any ethics. Then they’re incompetent as well, so action doesn’t happen when it should. Instead we get capricious, haphazard enforcement, and a dark future with all of t

This is the right question I think. For me personally, not the person you replied to, it is the noise. After years of soul-searching, and as a music lover, it’s about the noise. I will (or would) leave NYS over this. 76dB 50ft away under 35

That is a really nice feature. The (only?) downside is less tight distro integration, less reliance on shared libraries which can be updated and bugfixed independent of the browser. I’m less convinced of that benefit in the face of seamless

To be honest, I’m still quite bitter and resentful about losing the r/RightWingLGBT community. Vast majorities on a site like that are already self-censoring. The damage in terms of isolation and radicalization is already very real.

Linux disk management tools were my gateway drug. diskpart and diskmgmt.msc are fine, but gparted does nearly anything feasible, it’s indispensable. Then you just run ‘mount’ and ‘df -h’ a lot and in the end that’s similar to ‘net use’ on W

I have an X1 Carbon 6 (2018) ultraportable with an i7-8250U 15W quad core processor. I feel certain both Windows and Linux handle 4K60 streaming without spending more than 1-3W and no fan. I’ll test and check back soon.

His father lived there, and he didn’t drive out of state with a gun. This is just factually wrong. I recommend getting your information from the trial itself as much of this is spelled out quite clearly.

As the adage in the concealed carry community goes, “Better to be judged by twelve than carried by six”. At that point, when your life is threatened, act, and look to ensure the involvement of medics and the law once you are safe.

Both things are true. Arch is, in my experience, much more stable, and yet you should glance at the news page and run full system upgrades when you could spare some downtime if you had to.

Source for Dai being critically dependent on USDC? It’s been around years before USDC and maintained its peg through the 2017 collapse, if I recall. I know it has changed over time (multi-collateral Dai).

They would be selling USDT. Especially on short notice, with Tethers sitting on an exchange that may not have access to fiat, they will likely sell to BTC or ETH at least at first.

They’d prefer holding USDT to BTC. In this event we describe though, they may prefer selling for BTC or other cryptocurrency. They may not have the option of selling for fiat currency, as well, at least not right away. The assumption that a
