The rationale at the time was that Musk was refusing to pay so that he could cut a better deal with Twitter, which might even be true, but it was still a stupid waste of time (and money paid to lawyers). The punchline of all this is that hi

Developers would have to port their games, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. The only real obstacle is a lack of first-party input devices.

How is this the only response which acknowledges the obvious joke? Are people even reading the words, how do you not see the jokey tone?

I was an obsessive Reddit user for a few years, but now I've barely used the site since like 2014. As others have said, the real alternative to Reddit isn't a 1:1 replacement, it's other social media, it's Discord. It&#x

When Apple releases one of these for $1999, that's the point where they'll be taking the general consumer market seriously. The price of a MacBook Pro. I think you could get there pretty quickly by cutting out all the AR stuff and

I'm not even sure what the point of a giant Discord server is. Like, I use Discord for organizing (online) activities, asking a question and getting it answered by a real expert, hanging out with friends, etc. None of this scales, it&#

Yeah the price point is their way of explicitly saying that this is not a finished consumer product. The next few years will be key, as third-party developers build stuff and Apple evolves the OS and hardware. They could pivot into gaming

Apple makes a ton of money from the App Store, of course they were always going to fight this to the end in court. I think the most generous interpretation of this lawsuit is that it's a publicity stunt from Epic, not for consumers, bu

That's how everything works. Literally every CRPG (and every crappy mobile game with an XP/level mechanic) owes an enormous debt to Dungeons & Dragons. WotC is a big company, and D&D is bigger than it's ever been, but
