That's because a lot of time the suggestion is more along the lines of "Why bother changing your brake pads on your old car when you can just buy a new car with new brake pads" than "You should really change the oil in y

You can also rent a PLB/sat communicator for relatively reasonable prices (<$40/week) if you only hike occasionally and owning one and paying monthly wouldn't make sense.

Linux supports POSIX ACLs, which I would classify as "default Unix" since it's POSIX, and also supports some extended non-portable ACLs: http://linux.die.net/man/5/acl http://www.vanemery

Well since you asked, I'm working on a system that writes perfect bug-free code for me, but if you can implement that I'll save myself the effort. But really, the next thing on the roadmap is to get tighter integration between our

It seems like every time I set up some supporting infrastructure it ends up rolled into the next gitlab release a week later, not that I'm complaining (much). If you haven't checked out gitlab in a while, you definitely should. It

In my experience, these kinds of connections are QoS'd on a per-port/protocol level, so every client gets an equal amount of bandwidth on that port. If you can get a tunnel or vpn connection going on a less used port you'll g

That's to be expected though. More people of any gender enter a field -> that field starts paying less. Also fields change what work they include while keeping the same name, so it's a very sloppy metric at best.

I could be wrong on this, but I recall reading that the slow refresh on most eink screens isn't so much a hardware issue as a battery issue. Quick refresh would be pretty pointless on an ereader and be using power for nothing so they&#

Ahh, understood now. I figured postscript as it's also a concatinative programming language. I read postfix as in the mail server not as a synonym of suffix, thanks for the clarification.
