This is a ridiculous and sad move. We are living in 1984 a bit more every day. Master/slave was chosen on purpose because it is very clear, clearer than the alternative you suggest, and is no more offending that using Knight, gladiator

Absolutely, and this occurs all the time. Something happens in the US especially, but perhaps also Western Europe and it is spun into a huge issue. Something worse happens somewhere and it is barely reported, if at all. This is the sad iron

The title is obviously an attempt at manipulation, and the article is from a more than dubious source. This should really not be on HN. These terms are used to troll and insult posters some people disagree with, not to criticise or to have
