I replaced my old air-to-air heat pump with a new one last year. Cost me in total around $3000-$4000. Might have been a bit more expensive if it was a completely new install depending on how it would be installed, but not too much more expe

The competition is also ramping up their capacity so I don't think Starlinks bandwidth will remain unmatched for long.

The sweaters are 100% wool, but are the thick knitted type. Think a classic fisherman sweater or the Icelandic lopapeysa. These are not merino. Base layer is merino, might be a polyester/wool mix.

I have decades old wool sweaters. And my oldest wool base layers must be 10 years old. It's not a problem. If you dig it down in the ground or dump it in a lake it will break down with time.

Most managed service providers and ISP's have developed their own simple "automation" tools for managing customers network. It's easy when the config is mostly the same across all customers.

You want to open windows in opposite sides of the house to quickly circulate air from outside to inside. 5 minutes should be enough. It will get colder, but most of the heat is in walls and furnitures and as long as you only open the window

The story has been told by his son, but I think it is confirmed by several sources. I don't think Gerhardsen himself ever told it publicly.

We have the same story in Norway. Apparently Nikita Khrusjtsjov visited then prime minister Einar Gerhardsen in his small and modest housing association apartment in 1964 and subsequently demanded to know where Gerhardsen REALLY lived, caus

Meat production is not that much more humane in Europe to be honest. It's difficult to humanely produce meat at the same scale and price as industrial meat production.

Can remember there were campaigns in my country in the 90's to increase distance between cars. The rule was to count 1001 1002 1003, so basically you should have a 3 second gap to the car in front. Not sure if it worked, but apparently
