I use Nix + home-manager and keep my config in a git repository. Of course, that is less ideal if I need to use a machine on which I can't install Nix.

As a former Vim user I'm happy to see a post like that ! Some old problems mentionned in the post like asynchronous processes mostly, but also the lack of smart indentation with the TAB key that also takes into account the type of file
