This is Google we're talking about. They could very easily conquer the SEO experts the same way they basically eliminated spam and most web browser exploits.

This might be the case for news sites which show limited content until you sign into a paywall, but I don't recall the biggest offenders which show NO relevant content at all (LinkedIn and Facebook) saying anything.

At least Quora would show you a small something. Facebook and LinkedIn literally show no content except a login page.

Google could fix this by making the algorithm take into account searches that often end with "reddit", thus applying more weight to Reddit results to similar searches where the user didn't include Reddit in it. Clearly it

Just as bad as the auto-generated pages are company blog pages whose SEO rigged post pretends to give "help" for a problem where the main solution is of course, using their product.

Can we also talk about how Google allows top organic results to LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook which literally present you with a LOGIN page before you see anything related to your search? Absolute worst UX ever, yet they allow it beca

Doesn't surprise me. We had a few Dell AIO's in our office and whenever the CPU was under high usage for more than 15 minutes the motherboard would start malfunctioning. USB ports would stop working, built-in screen would flicker

They're playing the long game. Apple wants market usage to build bargaining power with the banks. They saw how the original Google Wallet was blocked from adoption because of control by the carriers and banks. Remember ISIS Mobile Wall

It probably would've cost Rockstar at least $100k in employee time to have one of their teams find, debug, and fix the issue. The extra time can now be spent playing the game instead of waiting, increasing revenue. So relatively speaki

Exactly. We could end up like cable television where we pay for the service and STILL get shown ads and in the Internet's case, tracked.

Actually, G+ was full force UNTIL there was an agreement for Google to back off in exchange for Facebook not competing with certain ads products. All the dirty laundry is coming out in the antitrust suits.

There are components in Windows that still exist from the NT days, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of these were still there.

They could've easily suspended new signups instead, and/or limited transactions to only those with settled cash. They didn't announce anything to anyone until it went into effect, despite programming their systems in advance

The fact that the group was previously suspended by Facebook for being a "dangerous organization" makes this removal even more suspect. It was suspended for two different reasons.

Well like OP said, then just restrict people whose cash didn't settle yet or require 100% margins like other brokers did. Even if I believed this excuse, then RH is still greedy for signing up users they don't have the finances to

Ok, so they can do what Merrill and other brokers did and require you to have 100% margin restrictions to ensure they get their money from you. And let's not even begin talking about how they halted only buying and not selling. Or that

Don't forget that Apple reversed course when Jobs realized that Apple was losing control with unfavorable OS licensing deals circa 1997 [1]. It's clear that since then, exclusivity and absolute control has been their mantra. [1]
