I've always been fascinated with DHH. On top of his programming skills, and CTO of Basecamp, he drives the prototype class in the World Endurance Championship. Absolute beast.

I am usually the kind of person to increase the animation speed on my phone too, and I think (while it looks impressive), the example is pretty sluggish to me. But I think, for PWA's this is a huge step-up, as you for example can mimic

What you list is exactly what I am saying. Moreover you are conjecturing by saying "deny OS permissions". Simply put, an app cannot do something that would require permissions, without it (unless exploiting vulns). Do you perhaps

It's not Android nonsense, it's just nonsense. If you don't post, TikTok requires zero permissions. Further, they only collect data related to how you use the app as per their privacy policy: https://www.tiktok.com

I agree with this one. From a European standpoint, there is right-center, and more-right in the US.

Guetta is not saying it's the real deal. The creativity, is his usage of the tools available. He could have hired an impersonator, it's the same thing (in my opinion).

Interested to hear this too. My only gripe with them, is it's difficult to distinguish between the popularity of Next.js because it's good, or because they've hired an army of people (at Vercel) to talk about it.

I didn't think that would be an obscure data structure, but Locality-sensitive hashing [1] helps in so many cases. Like nearest neighbour search, collision detection, etc. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Localit

I think this is more location (country, continent, city) dependent than you think, and you are probably more platform-savvy (being, that you are on HN), than the average person. People generally don't go to ten platforms, if they can g

> Webpack is a "legacy" bundler What a weird thing to say. I feel like people say this because they don't understand it's uses, and it's versatility.

At least Twitch.tv (Amazon subsidiary) and npmjs.com seems to be affected.
