If that was the case then async functions would be useless, since the global scope is not an async function. You can call async functions from regular functions, they will just return a promise. You can then use normal promise handing behav

Having access to the source code doesn't mean it's "open source". Open source has to do with being able to reuse the code yourself, not to being able to read it.

While the submission link technology doesn't allow for this, it's being worked on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNoOiXkXmYQ Still sort of rudimentary, but the foundation is there.

So, hash tables don't really work like this. There's no reason for the "FOOBAR" password to be stored close to "FOOBAZ", if you pick a well behaved hash function. You might get to know how many passwords are on

This is all already possible with current HTML, except for the namespace stuff (Which is too verbose, and was ditched after the failed XHTML effort, since it never really caught on anyway). You can already create your own custom HTML tags w

I think one possible way of fixing that counter-counter-PAC problem is this: Instead of focusing on the politicians themselves, trying to convince them to only accept money from disclosed sources, one could focus on convincing the existing

Because of iOS's sandboxing, it's really hard for apps to get info outside of their own "container" of sorts, so it doesn't matter much if they can access the Internet. Keyboards from third parties are an obvious ex

The problem I see with this spec (and the current implementation in browsers) is that you can't trigger a copy without having the user manually press ⌘C or do the platform equivalent command for that. That way you can't implement

They probably have a lot of licensed proprietary code inside it, so it could be hard. What they could do is release critical components (like the JavaScript VM) as Open Source and gradually open more and more of their code base.

I wonder why nobody has forked Wikipedia yet. There's no restriction to doing so, is there? To avoid having super high server costs, it could even be a "soft-fork", where only the pages which are edited are stored locally, al
