If you're looking for a free app to edit MIDI, check out wavtool.com! We're not open source, but our free product has pretty good MIDI editing for conventional use cases. There's also an interactive MIDI composition AI model.

Hey HN! Thought you might be interested in this. Not mentioned in this video but the source code for the synth is editable from within the app, so too with other plugins.

Super cool! I was similarly inspired by UE and built a node-based editor into my in-browser DAW project ( https://wavtool.com/ ). It really is an excellent interface paradigm. I expected it to be daunting to first-timers but

If anyone would like to try this out with a pro-oriented in-browser audio app with webmidi support, I'm making one! Check out wavtool.com.

I'm working on a serious in-browser audio app which takes advantage of web midi! wavtool.com It has extremely good latency on Mac OS, absolutely good enough to play along with and compose music in real time.
