I wrote the same kind of tool in both Elixir and Go, the performance difference was huge between the two, Elixir / Erlang is pretty slow overall.

Sampling is the answer. Sample 1% of success and all the errors. Cost is one thing but you would be surprised how heavy observability can be on a service, it's uses a lot of %cpu.

Hugo is one of the most popular static site generator and it's written in Go, most people don't need to extend it.

That's what you get when using an http server written in C. Don't get me wrong, Nginx is great, but configuration error should not end up in segfault.

Comments like that make people not want to use Rust. As good as Rust is, there is no such thing as "best" language.

Meanwile no one offers Nomad managed service, so who create those clusters, who operate them, who keep security / upgrade on...? You go to any cloud provider they all offer managed Kubernetes solution.

Funny enough, Discord uses i3d which is a Rotterdam based compagny, I'm pretty sure they have servers close to you.

Because this is way more complicated than checking that your CRUD REST API is valid. We're talking bandwidth here. Checking for upload is not the issue imo, the issue is that you can watch a 1080p stream a non nytro user, if you don&#x

The fact that this solution is based on nomad is a big red flag: - no updates after December - you probably won't have the right to use nomad after that - every providers offer Kubernetes managed solution, by using nomad now you'r

Things did not worked great, you should see the bad practices about ci/cd, security etc ... let the dev ssh root into a linux box, 1000 days uptime, no patch...

FSR is pretty bad, like it's not even close to DLSS, no one like fsr. And saying that there is not difference is wrong, just play a game with fsr 2.1 and dlss 2 or 3 please.

Go tried the same, and chose to let the user opt-in. https://github.com/golang/go/discussions/58409 The privacy design for Go was actually sound. https://research.swtch.com/telemetry-design

FSR is vastly inferior to dlss, not sure what you're talking about, even xless from Intel is better. As for driver: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/adrenalin-23-7-2-marks-ret...

I'm not sure exaclty what he's talking about with Serde, in Go when you deserialize data into a struct it is strongly typed. It's not up to the dev to check that you received a string or an int.

I think the explanation does not make any sense in 2023, if 99.99% of dev use Git you have to use Git, using your own solution that no one else uses or know or need to know is bad. If you want to make your project more open to contribution
