In Belgium, covering your face in public has been illegal for at least as long as I've been alive. It's not usually strictly enforced (e.g. scarves in winter are fine), but it's nevertheless the law. When I was maybe 6 years

That's a fair point. IMO it's easy to mix a whole array of concerns with annotations, much more so than what you'd likely do in 'normal' code. Some annotations are really compiler instructions ("don't prin

Trial periods, too, are no longer allowed over here. They used to be permissible up to 6 months (which was an insanely long time to essentially live with the knowledge that you could basically be sacked any day). But now they're gone.

I was under the impression that heat recovery ventilators weren't worth their cost. They're a lot more expensive to buy, and a hell of a lot more expensive to install (complicated ducting etc). Has that changed in recent years?

I've certainly worked in poorly ventilated offices, and my bedroom is even worse. But I don't think I've ever gotten dizzy in an office. Is this something that affect different people at different rates?

Even at low speeds bikes and cars shouldn't mix. Getting hit by a car sucks, at any speed. Of course the risk and severity of injury goes up as speed increases. We have a guideline that says that up to 30km/h cars and bicycles can
