You would think that there enough geeks out there who are aware of the issues with Intel ME to do something about. But after this time the best we have is a nasty hack that can kind of disable it. Don't we have the numbers (and quite f

Dune has been butchered too often for another rewind. There's even a horrendous mini-series with very silly hats and extremely poor acting.

My biggest gripe with Fedora is Gnome. Modern Gnome has the worst (out of the box) window management I've ever encountered. Its default alt-tab behaviour is insane (you have to use alt-tab + arrow keys to navigate multiple terminal i

And yet you're considering Mutt? Thunderbird is easily the best mail client out there. And while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it certainly isn't ugly by any standard that I'm aware of.

I was put under general anaesthesia for wisdom teeth extraction. Was never given an option. The butcher who operated on me botched up and I've been having jaw problems ever since. No apology was ever issued either. Next surgery, I'

Not sure about banning maths, but back when I was in school I had to suffer through a couple of maths teachers who were so bad that they might as well have been trying to instill a life long hatred for maths. Wow, that sentence got away f

I suppose it's a matter of cost, which will likely depend on location. Cheap lenses might be more feasible in densely populated areas. A big, fat, copper cable attached to very large and very cheap panels will likely be more cost effec

That's simply not true. SEPA explicitly states that all SEPA transactions should cost the same amount of money. Either your bank is ripping you off, or you're not using SEPA. Clarification: that is to say for the same originating

From what I understand, these ships are huge and cover very large distances. This requires a lot of fuel. Bunker is the cheapest fuel for this use-case (it, -- sort of literally -- being a bottom of the barrel sort of thing). Not sure what

I'm not sure about that. Many old electric cookers required a 3-phase hookup. Newer ones don't seem to, so perhaps it's on its way out.

The EU's interest in this sphere is bizarre to say the least. It's very much a fan of surveillance. It pays lipservice to privacy, while actively engaging in dragnet surveillance.
