I get the feeling that LLMs will tell you they don’t know if “I don’t know” is one of the responses in their training data set. If they actually don’t know, i.e. no trained responses, that’s when they start hallucinating.

I believe MS didn’t get nail on integrating IE into Windows - at least in the US - they got nailed on threatening to increase Windows prices for OEMs (which will ruin them in the competitive OEM market) that bundled Netscape, i.e. abusing t

I doubt manufacturing gets a percentage cut - doubt they want such a cut. Manufacturing likely charges by how much you ask them to produce. They will quote you a price for your order and maybe include a discount for large volumes.

I don’t believe that’s a law of nature - honestly it doesn’t even make sense. Disrupters disrupt what they can, what yields them the most profit.

Don’t people just bulk qualify the dialogue, e.g. “I don’t remember the exact words. Tom said … then Dick replied … something like that”. Often we don’t quote people and instead provide a high level description of what they said, e.g. “Harr

Well, the a fine tuned version of the Pro model now powers Bard - which is free; so it’s probably quite cheap (to Google at least).

I see it as a case of Nvidia obeying the letter of the law but not the spirit - hence these cat and mouse games with the US government; where they expend extra effort to work around the rules just so they can make money from China.

Guess some people like to play the odds. Rather than take 50% damage, they choose to gamble between 0% damage (cover up successful) and 100% damage (cover up failed and isn’t survivable) - they are equivalent in terms of expected value.
