I use the mail server of my hosting provider. It is a cheap mass hosting provider that offers mails for free or almost for free when you have a domain with them. Do you mean their IP? When I send one of my confirmation mails to mail-tester.

Why would the "huge vendors" care about my configs? Let's take Google for example. Wouldn't they just watch the bahaviour of their users? How they interact with the mails, if they flag them as spam etc.

What benefit do I get from using those services, over putting an open source solution on a $5/month machine and using that? This one has 8k stars on Github: https://github.com/knadh/listmonk This one also seems to

A list of more than 10k email addresses. The addresses are not the hard part. The hard part are the bounces. Those are just emails in my inbox. I could write the software to parse those. Most seem to be in the form of Blablabla ... Th

Bounces probably have all kinds of funky formats and edge cases. A software that analyzes the bounce mails probably needs to know about all the different formats in which mail servers tell you "A mail from you bounced: Here is the reci

I did a bit of googling like "substack import bounces" and "ghost import bounces" but nothing came up. So I am not sure those would do the job.

Why pack so many different things into a single project? If I want to build a dashboard with multiple widgets on the screen, my first step would be to look for a layout tool. Which allows me to handle how the screen is divided into multiple

True. To some extend. But I can usually grasp very quickly "Ah yes, inside an article-section, the name comes first, and the description comes second". Writers of scraping software don't like ":nth-of-type(3)" thoug

Two downsides come to mind: 1: Visual noise. I would prefer to edit this: <div class=article-section> <div>Hammer</div> <div> Buy this and everything will start to look like a nail

They like it, but are they willing to pay for it? The vendor needs to factor in the costs induced by Stripe. That's 3% fee plus the danger of your account being frozen. How much is that? Maybe another 1%? So if the "price"

At the moment, pretty much nobody is able to send payments via the lightning network. My question is about "what if". Would there be downsides? If the upsides outweigh the downsides, LN could slowly find its way into retail. Maybe

I don't think that Stripe offers that the customer buys the product from them and Stripe buys it from you? If not, you are still left with one hell of a complex tax reporting. Even if Stripe should help you to gather all the needed dat

Do you only need a payment gateway? I'm in Europe and there is a lot more to accept payments here: You need to ask the customer for their location and then calculate VAT and other tax details depending on where they are. You need to as
