I looked into this issue over the last weeks and made a list of other solo founders and how they handle it. You can find many, many of them when you search Twitter for "buildinpublic". The sad truth is that most successful solo fo

I recently posted on a subreddit that has the name of a big company. The post became popular. I could not believe my eyes, when some hours later, the post was edited. I have never seen that before. Mods cannot edit users posts, right? Do so

You are trying to convince me with the popular "This is not going to work for a much more complex system". I heard it very often. I don't buy it. Any system, no matter how complex, can be composed of small, simple systems. I

This was the reply I was trying to prevent by saying "minimal code example". I'm not interested in long theoretical articles. But I would look at a few lines of code. Here is an example of some code I recently wrote: lo

I never use any date library and I never had a problem with it. I just use what the native Date() object offers. Other devs always say "Just wait, one day it will fall on your feet". But this has been going on for many years, in w

Not sure Putin can go on like this forever. The US lost less than 1000 soldiers per year in Iraq. Russia lost something like 20,000 soldiers in the first 6 months in Ukraine. As far as I know, no US soldiers fled the USA during the Iraq war

This brings up two interesting questions: 1: A rocket fired from Russia into Ukraine - with which precision can it hit specific coordinates? 2: What is the radius of destruction of such a rocket?

That's not true. Look up Omega3 algae oil. It contains EPA and DHA.

Why do it anonymously? I mean, it seemed to work to some extent. You are on the HN frontpage. But usually, to make a point publicly and get help, one has to have an identity and let people see the reality of things.

Why do stories like these, from anonymous 1 hour old accounts get on the front page of HN again and again? With no verifiability whatsoever I don't see how it is newsworthy.
