I am a native developer (and can do web). This is a tech-preview release, and it first has to prove itself. However I think it is promising. And i would consider it for any app i would create myself. Professionally/production wise, its

I really think flutter is cross-platform-apps done right. Its rendering engine, its reactive programming model. Its superior to how we write android, ios and web apps. Also, writing a Flutter app is super easy! Its easier to build a demo w

Indeed what i was thinking. A big refactoring is often structural, and changes the program in a bigger way. In Java you can actually easly move classes around by drag-n-drop and they code will refactor. In python this is impossible.

I wouldnt recommend react for any app which you want togo big. In the end, you need to rewrite it to native code anyway, because you want to use the latest feature, or because you have bugs because react native doesnt follow the platform gu

Turing complete is by now means a 'low bar'.. Turing complete means that a language, system can compute anything. Anything that can be computed, can be computed with java generics. Thats what it says. Its quite a important term.

This guy just wrote an article with things he heard. Instant apps don't JUST WORK. As a developer you need to build support for it. Google didn't release yet how this is done actually. About the user experience.. He is probably ri

I totaly agree with you. What web-devs often forget is that native (mobile apps) have a very different runtime environments, things come and go (onCreate, onDestroy). Memory gets destroyed and reused. You need to think about background proc

App developers tend to not write unit tests, it requires some extra setup in the beginning, but if you will be working on the app for some time, they are invaluable. Just like with any other serious engineering effort.

Ever wrote a big program in python? Then you know it works at runtime. Not at compile time. Go comes with more typesafety while being a bit more verbose. Its a tradeoff.
