No, that would be silly. "The Naked Eye" is what normal human eyes can see without aid. There is a lot of grey area there, but microscopic creatures that you can only see with specialized equipment invented in the past 100 years

There are tons, literally hundreds of Chinese-Americans and Chinese-Europeans and Chinese immigrants living all over the world who do research, and their work is not at all suspect. The reason why Chinese papers are suspect has to do with t

Yeah, the obvious reason why funding spaceflight yields useful technology is that we also fund e.g. laser technology. We can fund science research without also spending billions of dollars going to the moon.

Additionally, an underwater civilization would make Humanity more resilient to some kinds of extinction events, if you care about that.

1) many Mars advocates want to colonize Mars to provide more resources and land to alleviate overpopulation. In that regard, it being of Earth does not matter. 2) even if it does, the point of GP's counterargument is not "if you w

Whether Julia took it from Rust or Scheme, or Rust took it from Scheme or Scheme took it from somewhere else, my point was that Julia did not invent this notation (this kinda sounds like an insult but it's actually not at all), and it&

The moon has no atmosphere and is much less dense. Mars has some advantages which can potentially make it self sustaining in the long future.

Modern Fortran is a really nice language, I have a lot of fun with it. Wish that map filter reduce were more standard parts of the compilers, but I guess it wouldn't be Fortran if new standards didn't take a decade to get good com
