Making it marginally harder to steal wealth from Jewish people would have only slightly abated the negative effects of the holocaust, but it would not at all solve any of their problems.

You have no idea how long I've looked for this, thank you so much lol. edit: wait, is this just a place that sells physical copies?

The short answer is that it's a unit conversion factor. Physicists often work in units where c = 1, and then the equation becomes E=m multiplied by a unit conversion term.

I'm loving Scott Aaronson rolling his eyes at this. He actually had a whole section on this in his book for a similar experiment in 2010 on closed timelike curves https://arxiv.org/abs/1005.2219 . I feel bad for ac

That's pretty much right. Similar experiments were done with Closed Timelink Curved (time travel) in https://arxiv.org/abs/1005.221 .

This title is painfully sensationalist. Physicists simulated a wormhole using a quantum computer, they did not create one.

It's a good thing this has lead to an increase in competition, especially local competition, and not the entire marketing being owned by a few companies instead of one and none of them treading on each other's monopolized turf.

Yes, your assessment is exactly right. I remember when that sub was very young and I was a teenager. It started with the 15 or so actual examples of historical queer erasure, and then went on to the 50 or so examples of ambiguously queer fi

It's very interesting how the EV industry models itself off the software industry, where companies deal more in hype and promises than actual products. This is expected from software, but it's surreal when it's a car company.

I think it's undeniable that AI can create novel things, the question is if AI can create novel things that are also interesting. A randomized 600x600 png is novel, but it isn't at all interesting, much of what goes into making a
