Maybe they’re waiting to finish the big roll out of NFT on YouTube!

I was happy with Azure but just got a bill with “other” charges for $1k on what is a basic VM used solely as a db replica.

Yeah, every time I see that number trotted out I’m just like “and the point is…?” If there’s an issue with the cost to process that many calls I’m much more suspicious of inefficiency on the API side than the client. Those numbers seem very

Yeah. I’d imagine the less client side code the better when you have somebody getting paid $1/hour to randomly reject apps as the final step in hour launch process.

We just needed enough data to awaken the mega mind, now we may rest and the mega mind shall bring an era of peace, prosperity, and scientific achievement. Praise the mega mind.

Reddit is the bottle, user content is the water. I’m not sure where you draw tbe line per se, but seems like Reddit is doing their best to find out.

Is a bottle of water a bottle or water? Neither right? And I’d say a sub is the same.

Totally, the root of all this is their site is garbage but has a great user base. If I were them I’d be terrified a moderately competent teenager could break that moat with a fast and performant site.

That is true, but sanction in the court of public opinion isn’t the same as sanction in a real court. I’m not sure a judge should be taking bad publicity into account when handing out punishment - they should likely be treated as independen

I read human language quickly, I’m talking about the rate at which I read code from the internet I’m about to copy and paste. Which is, and I’m my opinion should be, slow. But I agree for normal human language GPT needs to pick up the pace

In my testing it was faster with worse answers, and GPT spits out code only slightly slower than I can read it. I don’t care for “fast and wrong” if I can get “adequate and correct” in the next tab over.

Yes, but switching costs increase over time, especially with API integration, and it’s not like OpenAI isn’t also improving at what seems to be a faster rate. My code results on ChatGPT seemed to have gotten a real bump a few weeks ago. Not

Precisely my point I don’t think a lot of people will go back. Even somebody like me who’s willing to put several hours into trying to see how both work won’t do that for every blog post about an “improvement”. Bard was rushed, and it shows

Depends on time scale. You can only piss off a certain percentage of users for a short time. If that percentage goes up, and people stay angry, that takes longer, but then you die. People forget exponential growth in a social network alway
