That is great and all, but I am an EE student, and last time I looked for an internship, there are a grand total of zero actual serious EE companies that use kicad. It is pretty much all Altium rn (and god I hate using altium). So ye, what

It was really not that bad, it just looked scary, once you got past the first steps, it was fine. But I guess those first steps made a big difference in adoption

Being taken seriously by companies, getting the big investments to increase developement speed by lots. Actually overtaking its competitors in terms of features. A big usability overhaul. Fun stuff like that.

I really hope kicad gets the blender treatment some day. It has been a dream of mine to actually not have to use altium(or eagle, or orcad) when working for an EE company.

Just because it is not a selling point, doesn't mean people don't still use the term a lot. I used to only know C, OOP is still a relatively new thing for me.

Object-Oriented Programming: "Luckily the industry doesn’t really use this term any more" Wait really? What world are they living in? Am I just out of touch or something?

To me I think that it is often just the case that I am not completely convinced yet. Debating something with someone can be a rather stressful social situation. Maybe I am not able to explain my point of view well, and just want to get out

I find it increadibly hard to read, so I really hope it doesn't become a common thing. So I am kinda happy about these results.

I wouldn't be surprised, there are a lot of different asphalt mixes out there for different scenario. Idk specifically about temperature, but would't be surprised.

Probably just heatstroke, pretty sure that is usually how people die from heat. Though, good chance that info just isn't out there.

I have multiple accounts, which I all transferred to microsoft accounts. They all got this message and had to be unlocked using a phone number. I wouldn't be surprised if they are straight up doing this to get phone numbers.

"While computer science course take-up had gone up by over 90 percent in the past 50 years, electrical engineering (EE) had declined by the same amount" Well yes, computer science used to be just a specialization of EE. Not that I

Idk if it is actually gonna work, I'll only know that after I try it. But right now, I notice that one of my biggest bottlenecks in reading music, is that, whenever there is a note that is quite a bit away from the clef, or other notes

I am in the exact same situation (getting back into playing piano after more than a decade of not doing it). But rn, it is just a very rough proof of concept I am making in pygame, I might make something more proper with actual decent code

This is creepy, I just started writing a very similar app, end then I saw this appear on HN. Though mine is focused more on getting faster at sight reading sheet music, and idk if I'll ever actually release it to the public.

I have dyslexia, and I can't scan read(if that is the right word), I have to basically read entire words. This stuff forces me to scan read, which means I just don't understand the text anymore.

Don't you usually have a battery you charge using the rtg's, so that you can deliver some real power when you need to do a manouvre?

I assume they are talking about the fact that the official script of china is simplified Chinese (at least, I am pretty sure it is). Though I have no idea if this would mean that all official documents are in simplified chinese in practice.
