Ok, so on the generative model modality landscape I'm now aware of: - speech - images - audio samples - text - code - 3d models I've seen basic attempts at music and video, and based on everything else we've seen getting goo

Given how robust it seems to be with fast speech, I wonder if you could save cycles by speeding up the audio before feeding it in.

Please, it's not that imagen won't do people it's that Google won't publish imagen images with people in them. Does anyone seriously think that imagen couldn't put a person in that prompt?

A prion is a misfolded protein, a quine is a program that can produce itself with no input. So a prion quine would be a self replicating nano machine, a semi popular doomsday scenario.

How are three people dead because of KF? Not concern trolling, a google search only turned up a kiwifarms thread that _could_ have been relevant, but is now obviously inaccessable.

My thought has been even more pessimistic than that. Why even pass your own legislation when your intelligence agencies can just get Australia to extract that info for you. You don't need to actually backdoor the targets device, just t

Nah it makes perfect sense, normalizing encryption that 14 year olds can break in an hour is totally in line with Australian government policy.

Been playing with this for the past hour now on my RTX 2070. Each image takes about 10 seconds. Results vary wildly but it can make some really great stuff occasionally. It's just infrequent enough to keep you going "one more prom

I feel the same way. The clumsy replication we currently use of cables held under torsion using servos would be replaced instantly. The kinds of actuation we'd be able to produce would only be rivaled by nature.

Go's concurrency is such a breath of fresh air whenever I interact with it. Python would be immediately so much easier to use for so many other cases if it implemented something similar.

True. People are asking how you would lower the price though. If you don't _want_ lower prices, then the NIMBY positions make sense, don't build more to meet rising demand, keep prices high and poorer people out.
