Yes, I'd also like to know the status of Flash in particular. However, they were pretty clear about the methodology of their test - their Macbook was factory-restored, they measured power using current measurement at the DC input and i

This code is probably written by embedded software engineers like myself. No one knows anything about security, and certainly hasn't heard of a fuzzer. If the code works, it ships. The other parts of Android written in C++ are also a h

SDRs that can transmit at wifi bandwidths are also getting cheaper by the day. And don't forget the billions of wifi devices already out there that aren't subject to this restriction... I really don't know what or who they ar

This could also be a problem for wifi chips in laptops. The existing Linux regulatory domain framework has been sufficient for now.

The API you are looking for is WebRTC. VP8 is the most widely used codec for it, but you could use H.264 baseline if you really wanted. You will need to include a WebRTC stack in your server though, which is a lot more complicated. But I th

There are a variety of factories producing these at variable quality. I'd still recommend the Nooelec version if you have the budget to spare.

I haven't seen any activity around the Qt port for a long time. Really the main visible difference is the file/print dialogs. I think maybe XDG would be a better way to standardize that, and would fix many other apps as well.

To determine if you infringe this patent, you only need to look at the claims - specifically, the independent claims (claim 1). If you do anything differently, you don't infringe.

I've plugged in a few friends' Epson printers and it just worked. I don't think I have yet to run across a printer that didn't work in the last 5 years or so (maybe it's just because my printer usage is declining)

Spotify uses Ogg Vorbis. Google Play uses MP3, which is kind of sad these days because Ogg Vorbis or Ogg Opus would both be much better choices.

Well, Hangouts on Safari is a Google plugin. I believe it generally uses VP8. Hardware doesn't matter, as what's needed is an encoder - and hardware encoders usually aren't good enough to use for real time chat. Encoding vi
