This actually has the same physical interpretation, right? If you took 500ml volume of beer and stretched it out to 1 km long, the stretched form would be 0.5 mm^2 in cross-section.

The data comes in faster than 60 fps. A camera sensor doesn't capture the entire frame instantly every 1/60 second. It progressively scans through the frame over some measurable fraction of that 1/60 second. This is that q

This is correct, that Bitcoin currently has a lot of friction for corporate use in exchanging in and out of fiat currencies. But the longer term vision is for Bitcoin to replace other currencies. Let's project this ten years into t

It's fine if that combined PTO is a healthy number like 25 days. It's sleazy if a company promises three weeks vacation trying to look generous when that three weeks is really combined vacation+sick+personal.

Kickstarter backers are not customers. They are speculators. There may be shame in failing one's customers, but not speculators. Kickstarter backers know (or should) that any backed venture can fail.

There is a parallel in the end game: Military advancements. Civilization lets you research new technology for significantly more effective military units, to ease the mop-up phase. The equivalent military advancement in chess is queening

That's still the same problem, isn't it? You still have to track down where the empty list originated, just as the null value in C. I'm not a Haskeller, but do the language and tools make that easier than in other ecosystems
