I mainly use it as a smart rust auto-complete and I would say it saves me probably 30% of coding time, everything boilerplate/tests it gets super well. I am a slowish typer though. It also makes it more enjoyable, just my experience.

Every time I tried to use dating apps my mental health declined sharply, an AI concierge won't change that. I think those apps are just broken by design. I decided if I ever get serious about dating, I will use other methods. At this p

Lots of typos in this document: > The format for the 16-octet, 128-bit UUIDv6 is shown in Figure 2 Figure 2 is a uuidv7 > UUIDv8 SHOULD only be utilized if an implementation cannot utilize UUIDv1, UUIDv6, or UUIDv8 Probably meant this

Would be nice to have webkitgtk. We have been shipping a Tauri app for the past couple years and while the idea of not shipping a chromium seems nice in practice it is very hard to have a nice experience across all OS. Linux being the harde

This article doesn't offer any compelling argument IMO. When you are a startup you have to focus on getting to PMF, it doesn't matter that you spend more for managed services. In fact your time is much better spend building your s

This is really not true in WAL mode with synchronous NORMAL, this was only true with the default journal mode and a lot of people are misusing sqlite because of that. You still have one writer at a time but you wont get the SQLITE_BUSY erro

I paid 15k CAD for 2 Daikin units two years ago, the pricing is kinda stupid but it depends on the quality of the model. Chinese models are way cheaper than Japanese models.

If you are in North America, I highly recommend to check out https://ashp.neep.org/#!/ to compare heat pumps. It has efficiency and technical data on almost all models easy to compare without the marketing bullsh*t of

Does Europe really need to have the VAT? Usually here (Canada) you give it if you want to tell the business selling you something not to charge you sale tax. If you dont, you just claim the sales taxes at the end or the fiscal year instead.

For me it is the speed of update, I posted an outage on our own status a good 15m before they did on their status. I had to email them before I got an ACK.

Definitely a problem I experienced. Big fan of browserless.io. Though I didnt see any comment on the biggest problem in this space: SSRF. Most HTML-to-PDF are deeply insecure and I am more than happy to pay someone else to deal with isolati

I understand that from a security perspective, but from an e-waste perspective even the current 7 years support is disastrous let alone the previously 3-5 years that vendors. Not everybody has the same security needs, I often gift my older

Agreed but they do drop support for older pixel devices very very quickly which is kinda of PITA. At least the Pixel 8 is supposed to be supported 7 years.

How dare them wanting to make money. Seriously this is fine, if you are not happy fork it and maintain it yourself. AFAIK this is the whole point of open core. What you are asking here is that business to support code for free that reduces

It would be interesting to have benchmarks in memory usage et performance versus the big projects like wasmtime and wasmer. There are quite a few interpreters in rust these days! Did you plan for possible spec extension like WASI?

I am doing just that with my startup. Competing with the effective monopoly in security that is Burp Suite. The only reason we succeed is because I could afford to spend 3 years without pay to build it and we are barely starting to generate
