Been using it in production for over 2y, expect a lot of complaint from Linux user. Webkitgtk is really behind in terms of performance, standard support, etc. And it is not on MDN compatibility list so good luck finding what is available. I

My experience is that in general edge cases are not kratos strong suit. Works very well for the base case but anything fancy you are generally on your own. But I don't mind since it is OSS and someone can contribute/fork if they i

Been using it in production for a bit less than 2y now. It has improved a lot, the configuration is still kinda hard (jsonnet is really ugly IMO) and there are a lot of weird decisions (like you can change the password without knowing the c

I wish WebKit GTK was more performant in general (and also in the MDN compatibility list but its another topic). It is getting better but it really is a blocker on shipping quality application with Tauri on Linux. There is a reason most app

I still don't understand how Zed or Lapse can build a viable business out of an OSS editor but at the same time there is an OSS VC funded Python linter so it's probably me.

I am 2.5y into a bootstrap business (proxy alternative to burp suite). We are not nearly as successful as obsidian, but we managed to hit 30k$ ARR. Honestly if I didnt have a contract on the side with high pay and low hours I would not be a

How is sprint boot + java thèse days? I have a client that wants to pick it up for a suite of services (and Java) but my experience with it 5+ years ago was that it was an overengineered painful thing to use. I would much prefer they use a

But it was heavily marketed that way so at the very least you have to acknowledge that there was a fair bit of false advertisement... I don't think making an informed decision has anything to do with competitiveness in any case. Exampl

Afaik bundling webview is only available with appimage. We also have a big tauri app and it is a PITA to develop. I actually opened an issue to support bundling a chromium ala electron.

The author doesn't mention brands but I found that the majority of the cost difference was due to it. I got two Daikin installed and it costed me 15k$ CAD. Simiilar models in Chinese brands run at half that price. Mine also run at 100

What happens to the shares owned by those firms? If I remember correctly I think the business can buyback or they can be resold to other shareholders?

Just got Bell 1.5Gpbs/940Mbps for 50$, no time limit. The base price was 90$, but got a big rebate because some salesman came to my house.

What I don't understand is that the Play store are still receiving updates like yesterday. Where is that code? Who is the developer? They still advertise as OSS applications.

That was bad phrasing, there is karma on XDA and trusted name reputation (evolution x, pixel experience, lineage os). So it is not a random ROM from a random dev. And you always have the source for those builds.
