Just my 2 cents on the research: Might be cool to see how scores changes if we weight in by game popularity. I was thinking of just whatever score generated by a gpt function, or by play data in game libraries/trackers. On another topi

I have barely done anything in game development, but in terms of engine, what has been better for you as a solo dev? Risk of rain comes to mind as a great multiplayer videogame with a small team, it was made with gamemaker studio. I am curi

I am on a similar situation. This morning I decided to download Cursor and write a web app from scratch to easen the piano lessons I'm taking. I finished the app by noon. It greatly reduced the bottleneck of bringing to reality what wa

Thanks for your work on the research. I get a feeling of amusement and wandering when thinking on what functions the obelisks may have. I am hopeful this discovery can lead to technology to improve people's life. Just thinking out loud

I agree with not being able to rule out nil checks, I just realized how arbitrary I am with nil checks, else it can get very nil-check bloated in some common scenarios. However the other two haven't been an issue for me so far. I'

Mildly related, I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep (OSA) apnea 6 months ago, and when sleeping I have to use a machine that blows air with a set pressure so it 'counters' the obstruction (a CPAP machine). Not mission critical

Go makes error handling explcit, which is a very important part of development. Not only this makes you more conscious on thinking what you need to do when something goes wrong, but also makes codes more maintainable in my opinion. I strong

I wonder what this tech would do using a descriptive fragment from a book. I don't read many books at all but I would spend some time feeding in fantasy fragments and see how much they differ from what I imagined.

General problem solving is not just finding what is wrong with a machine, which is the domain you are referring to. Here are some examples where that 'algorithm' might not give you a headstart: How should I cook this meal? How sho

I feel the same gratefulness. While I was reading I was thinking that whoever wrote this did a great job to make it understandable. Without their input I believe I would have never been told this story. I can't get enough of these math

From the article: > Stange added that none of this would have happened without the low-stakes summer project. “Serendipity and an attitude of playful exploration both have such a huge role in discovery,” she said.

I think battlefield 4 (pc) has the best of both worlds: official servers and community hosted ones. It had its drawbacks, however: community servers often spoofed player count and you would end up joining almost empty lobbies when you thoug
