I use a Ploopy that's been modified to run QMK (just needs a ISP flash, nothing crazy) and has my onboard chording engine. It's a mess, but having 2^n inputs and a trackball is very fun and hacky :) https://www.ploopy.

I literally make them, and they're powered by QMK. Check out http://gboards.ca/ and http://combos.gboards.ca/ for the fun stuff :)

Check out KDE Connect, it's a great piece of software for copy/paste, remote inputs and more. Will even wake your computers up when you walk in the door :)

Very cool, just started playing around with roam because of this. There seems to be a lot of overlap with Project Xanadu and the related ideas. I've been playing with this idea for a while and there's been a handful of partial imp

Weirdly enough, there's a groupbuy closing out soon for PBT Choc keycaps. It's taken forever but it's getting there. [0] [0] https://www.gboards.ca/product/mbk-group-buy

Yup, this is what I use for editing. Vifm in whatever directory I'm working it but small and floating. Mod+Spc focuses my nav, Mod+Spc to focus the underlying windows. Have it set up to spawn vim or VSCode instances using shared buffer

Give this a shot, and if you find the keyboard too light there's always ButterKnife (which is ending pretty quick here!) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7_HWAoZnZvs&feature=youtu.be https://www.gboards.ca&

I'm currently working on the ASETNIOP layout for Ginny (A 10 key keyboard), while wildly impractical next to something like GergoPlex, it's a fun exercise in insanity. https://www.gboards.ca/product/gergoplex

This is why I'm glad that QMK exists. Because you're using a programmable board (where the keymaps/layers/etc) are stored on the keyboard itself you can move everything about and never worry about where your configuratio

Very true, the RCMP in my hometown were rarely doing raids/busts or anything of the sort. Unless you we're trying to muck around with hard drugs or driving around in a hotboxed car. There were multiple parents/working class p

I'm very curious as to why this is being downvote so heavily. They're not wrong. Among other reasons, the healthcare situation is one reason I would not consider taking a job in the US.

There are other benefits to using a smaller chorded keyboard though, namely with RSI prevention and general comfort. That's kind of what I was going for with the QWERTY layout for Georgi. Rather then using chording for briefs and phone
